Summary of the Book:

Zuri Benitez has pride. Brooklyn pride, family pride, and pride in her Afro-Latino roots. But pride might not be enough to save her rapidly gentrifying neighborhood from becoming unrecognizable.

When the wealthy Darcy family moves in across the street, Zuri wants nothing to do with their two teenage sons, even as her older sister, Janae, starts to fall for the charming Ainsley. She especially can’t stand the judgmental and arrogant Darius. Yet as Zuri and Darius are forced to find common ground, their initial dislike shifts into an unexpected understanding.

But with four wild sisters pulling her in different directions, cute boy Warren vying for her attention, and college applications hovering on the horizon, Zuri fights to find her place in Bushwick’s changing landscape, or lose it all.

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I know this story well for my sister is a huge fan of the original and being twins she had to tell me all about it. Now this version is well done and at times made my giggle to myself. It has all the classic touches of the original story with a little flavor added in. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would it. That is a good thing. I have really been in to re-tellings and remixes of the classic stories and this is one of the better ones. Grab a copy for yourself and happy reading.

This book was very well written and it had my emotions all over the place. I felt a lot for Jake and there were times I got a little angry that he did not seem to notice his father and sister were suffering too. I know that he was going through a lot. Like the bullying during the day and the dreams that he is learning to controlling during the night. This book made me feel so much and I know the loss of a parent. It made me relate to this book more.

Summary of the Book:

Pippa Wyndham is a top cellist―she’d never settle for anything less. Determined to get into the nation’s most prestigious music college, nothing’s going to stand in her way . . . Until her senior year of high school when a new guy from a fancy New York conservatory transfers to her school.

Declan Brogan’s cocky, and he knows how amazing he is at the cello. He has every intention of knocking Pippa out of first chair and showing her who really belongs on top. Forced together when assigned a duet, their personal competition and mutual dislike transform into a teasing friendship.

Torn between her childhood crush and the boy who threatens her dreams, Pippa finds herself at risk of losing her best friend, her future, and the boy who makes her heart melt. Struggling to make things right, Pippa discovers that sometimes the thing you want the most doesn’t always end up being the thing you need.

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I think this story of Pippa and Declan is sweet and kind of funny. It is a YA of enemies to friends to crush and maybe love. I love the rivalry between the two and that turns to this crazy kind of friendship. But Pippa is not sure what to do with all the feelings that is being inspired by Declan. It cause a lot of worries and fears for her. There is a lot for her to work out and make decisions on what is important and how much she wants to follow her heart. I did enjoy that each chapter ended with a musical quote. It added something to it. I also enjoyed that the author made a playlist for this book. I found it on her website and wish I had discovered it while reading the book. That is all for now what to know what happens grab a copy when the book goes live.

Summary of the Book:

An ancient power long kept dormant stirs in the shadows once more as one boy embarks on a quest to earn his freedom and the freedom of his land!

Magic has turned to myth, the Vaelhyreans of old are naught but legend, and the power of the ancients has long been forgotten. However, with Ealdred, a mere half-breed slave boy, myth becomes real, the forgotten remembered, and the power of legend is reborn.

Sold into slavery at birth, Ealdred has grown accustomed to his bleak existence, only dreaming of a life he can call his own. One day Ealdred is suddenly thrown into a world of mystery, brimming with deceit, where the remaining Vaelhyreans are in a desperate fight for their very survival. When Ealdred is kidnapped by the power-mongering dark lord Zeldek, he must make a choice: commit his newfound magic to Zeldek’s service or die. But when he meets Bellator, Zeldek’s clever yet treacherous servant, an alternative is presented to him: escape from Zeldek’s stronghold and embark on a quest to find a cursed arrow and free the Vaelhyreans from the spell that keeps their powers at bay.

Yet how can he survive in a world where magic is illegal, half-breeds are hated, and the four countries are on the brink of destroying one another?

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. The pacing of this tale kept me turning the pages from page one until I closed the back cover a couple of hours later. I loved the world building and how the characters pulled you along on their journey. I sometimes have an issue with some fantasy. But I found all the answers I needed and the tale was put together very well. The POVs of the characters are sharp and clear. This makes it very easy to follow the story and who’s voice is telling this part of the story. I enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what come in the next one.

Summary of the Book:

Fetish Girl is a kinky roller coaster ride through addiction, violence, motherhood, sex, and the creation of Evil Kitty, Bella LaVey’s larger-than-life dominatrix persona. It is a singular memoir that shows that a heavily tatted BDSM sex worker can be courageous enough to come to terms with her painful truths and raise a healthy, loving child, even as she remains boldly sexual and authentic. It’s the story of a woman attracted to extremes who is willing to go to great lengths to uncover and make peace with her true nature.

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This book gave me a sense of empowerment and healing. It tells the story of one woman and her struggles and journey to finding what makes her who she is and how she defined her life. I think that it takes bravery and understanding of one’s self to be able to write something that is so close to one’s soul. I was not really sure where this book would take me when I started to read it, but it took me on the path one woman took to find herself and do what she could for her child as a single mother. I am glad that I was allowed to read this book. It touched me and made me see the world through a different set of eyes. Thank to the author and publisher for allowing me to experience this tale.

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have been in love with things about hackers and computer active world since I saw and read the book Hackers. This book was an adventure that I just had to go on. It show that a lot can be accomplished when you recognize that you have made a mistake and with their talents what they can do to make up for those mistakes and make a better world. It was not all smooth sailing there are some feuds on who is right and wrong and how it all turns out. I think there is room for a sequel and I am ready and waiting to read that.
